How championship points are awarded across races, sprints and the season.
The top ten finishers in a grand prix score points: 25–18–15–12–10–8–6–4–2–1. A driver who finishes outside the top ten scores nothing, regardless of position.
Sprints award 8–7–6–5–4–3–2–1 to the top eight finishers, on top of the points available in the grand prix.
A bonus point used to be awarded for the fastest lap (if the driver finished in the top ten), but this was retired after the 2024 season and no longer applies.
Points accumulate across the season towards two titles: the Drivers' Championship for individual drivers and the Constructors' Championship for teams, decided by the combined points of their two cars.
